Ramblewild seeks a college student for a paid summer internship. This intern will work closely with our guest services and aerial park operations teams as a “front line” point of contact for all guest interactions.
Primary responsibilities include ensuring a positive experience before, during and after our guests’ outdoor adventure activities and programs. The intern will gain valuable customer relations and service skills in a dynamic environment at a company rooted in sustainability and created to generate social, environmental, and financial impact.
Ramblewild is a premier mission-driven Adventure Forest created to inspire learning & conservation through outdoor adventures. Set on 1,400 acres in the heart of the Berkshires (Lanesborough, MA), Ramblewild incorporates a tree to tree aerial park, nature trails, low ropes course, campground and a maple sugarbush. Our guests include local schools, colleges/universities, camps, companies, families and individuals. We employ four year-round staff members and make more than 20 seasonal hires. We seek an outgoing and active individual who has strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills and enjoys outdoor recreation. Applicants must: have a positive attitude; have the ability to interact with groups of all sizes and participants of varying ages and demographics; be physically capable of being on her/his feet for long hours; and have strong computer and phone skills. We will prioritize applicants with CPR certification, ropes skills and outdoor recreation/climbing experience. Interest in sustainability and retail or service industry experience are a plus.
Compensation & Application Instructions
The compensation will be $12+/hour (depending on experience) for 10 weeks of work (approximately 400 hours), starting in early June 2019. Hours of operation may vary. Work attire is outdoor professional with Ramblewild-issued uniform articles (such as branded T Shirts/Sweatshirts/Hats). Applications are due no later than February 28th. Interviews will be conducted between March 4 and 10. Applicants should include a resume and a cover letter explaining why they are interested in and qualified for the opportunity.
